Sometimes, the gullibility of my colleagues is amazing. We had a leaked AT&T roadmap stating that the BlackJack III won’t have a touchscreen; the last BlackJacks didn’t have touchscreens, and so on. Nevertheless, the folks at AVING’s don’t grow tired when it comes to peddling Samsung i780 shots as BlackJack III prototypes.

Once again: it is highly unlikely that the BlackJack III will be a touchscreened device. WM and WMS devices are too different - average users won’t be able to make the jump without significant effort…

For me, the really interesting thing is something else: is the Windows Mobile Smartphone platform really as unpopular as my colleagues claim it is? Yes, of course - people coming from S60 or touchscreen systems will need to rethink their ways: but the average customer seems to love his Windows Mobile Smartphone. Handango’s Yardstick has shown significant growth in the WMS sector…

If you look at TamsWMS; you will see less updates than with my other sites. The reason could very well be that the WMS market is slower than others; could this aggravates my colleagues due to lack of news to post?

Do you think that WMS is on its way out?
